Upstate South Carolina Wedding Video

       Absolute Wedding Films is a one of a kind wedding videography company run by James and Marianna Player and since we wrote this webpage we will go ahead and say "HELLO" and stop talking in the third person. :-)

Being married in the Upstate (downtown Greenville), we know all about the beauty of the area as well as that the various upstate churches and wedding venues.

Unfortunately we also know what a disaster can come from choosing a cheap upstate wedding videographer. When presented with the option of choosing a wedding videographer we thought to ourselves "we already have one of the best Greenville wedding photographers" so why do we need a video too? After considering not doing video at all we did ultilmately decide to hire a cheap videographer that was a friend of a friend of a friend.

Our wedding day came and the guy showed up with cameras so we naturally thought all was well. Unfortunately, we were very wrong!

About a year after our wedding we still had no video so we began to inquire with the videographer more heavily. This proved to be unsuccessful and continued for quite a while until we finally just gave up.

Around six years after our wedding we got a package in the mail and low and behold it was our video. We were excited to watch it, but then it started to play! The video was horrible quality and what was suppossed to be multiple angles was actually only one. Audio.. Yeah right.. it was non existant except for muffles of the congregation talking and sneezes/coughs during the ceremony.

Our experience didn't necessarly spark our desire to do wedding videos but once we did get into it that experience weighed heavily on our decision to offer a quality of video that no one had ever seen before.. In fact we didnt want to offer video we wanted to offer movies.

We have now been doing this for around 6yrs (page created in 2011) and our years of experience has given us an edge that many people in wedding video do not have:

• Quality documentation of real/natural events at your wedding

         I will elaborate on this just in case you are wondering why this is bullet point.
         Many videographers understand "filming techniques" but many times that understanding does not translates into knowledge of how to properly cover a live, non-repeatable event such as a wedding. Your wedding day will move very quickly and being prepared for the events that will happen and posessing the capabilities of capturing those events in a quality fashion is no easy task. To make up for this shortcoming many of todays wedding "film makers" will spend a majority of the day directing your every action. While this "solution" does help the video it can be frustrating on the day of especially if you are not expecting to be directed all day. Our technique is to work hard, capture real moments, and at a very few oportune times make recommendations that could greatly enhance the video. If you desire to be directed for most of your day then please continue your wedding videographer search as that is not how we handle things at all.
  
  

• Lots of special devices to make your video look like a movie.

         While we typically do not like to tout the equipment that we use this is one thing that truly does seperate us! Through our years of experience we have taught ourselves how to effectively and ubotrusively use devices at wedding that are normally only used for films/movies.
  
  

• Friendly and Personal interactions

         Its just us! You will talk to us, work with us on the wedding day and we will edit your video! This cant be said for many other wedding video firms.
  
  

• Consistent Quality

         Look at our recent wedding video work! This is not just the best of the best of what we have done but is instead a video from literally every wedding we work on. Make sure to observe the consistant quality and as you look around keep this in mind as we are honestly one of the few that put something from most every wedding online. When you find someone elses site that looks like good work, make sure to look at the dates of the wedding videos that are posted. If they are spread out then you have probably found someone that only post the best of the best(aka from weddings where everythign falls into place perfectly)!!! Then ask yourself "will my wedding be a best of the best? Will everythign fall into place perfectly? OR Will mine be one that does'nt get posted?"
